CHICKEN CURRY

Ingredients:

Chicken pieces – 400 grams
Cinnamon – 2 Nos.
Cardamom – 2 Nos.
Oil – 6 teaspoons
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1½ teaspoon
Green Chilli – 2 Nos.
Onion (sliced) – 2 Nos.
Tomato (sliced) – 2 Nos.
Salt as needed
Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
Chilli Powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves – Few
Mint leaves – Few

Coconut Paste - 6 teaspoons

Procedure:

1) Heat the vessel and add oil – 6 teaspoons.
2) Once the oil is heated add Cinnamon and Cardamom.
3) Add Green Chilli and Onion.
4) After the Onion turns golden brown add Ginger Garlic Paste and fry for 2 minutes.
5) Add Chicken pieces and little salt then close the lid and simmer the flame for 10 minutes till the water drains from the chicken.
6) After 10 minutes add Tomato, little salt, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder and mix it well and close the lid then leave for 10 minutes until the Tomato is cooked.
7) Add 200 ml of water and close the lid and simmer for 15 minutes.
8) Add Coconut Paste, Mint Leaves and Coriander Leaves and close the lid and simmer it for 5 more minutes.
9) Chicken Curry is ready.
